Identified left to right: Private Jack Colin Curtis of Southwark, SA; Private Jack Eunson Champion of Echunga, SA; and Corporal Roy Clifford Darley of Narridy, SA.

Jack Colin Curtis was born in Lower Light, South Australia, on 17 October 1913. He enlisted for service on 8 July 1940 serving with the 2nd/48th Infantry Battalion 26th Brigade, 9th Division, 2nd AIF. Private Curtis was fatally wounded on 23 September 1942 in Egypt. He was 28 years old at the time of his passing. Jack lies in rest at the El Alamein War Cemetery. Lest We Forget.
